House Chow Fun (no rice)

by G.T.

For those of you who don’t speak Mandarin, “House Chow Fun”, in English, means, “House of Fun Chow”. Shrimp, chicken, barbequed pork, water chestnuts, peapods, miniature corn cobs, and rice noodles. Oh yeah, it was definitely fun chow.

Today’s poetry is still in the works, because I took a twelve hour nap today and spent the remainder of my afternoon and early evening searching for a certain Chinese Take-Out menu. I’ll be posting more than three poems for the next post. Likely four, possibly five. How do you like that?

Last night, my supervisor asked me if I’d like to work an extra hour tonight, and I said, “Why yes I would!” Tonight, as I was en route to that certain Chinese restaurant, she called me and said to not show up, because the store is cutting hours. Well here’s to the beginning of a four day weekend. So I’m going to make up for the lack of poetry of these past few days and toss a few more poems into the mix.
